Doe Dumper. I don't think that one would see much difference in performance between the 260 and 7mm-08. The 260's lighter bullets would give a bit less recoil while retaining enough SD. to be good deer bullets. However on the other end of the spectrum, the edge in heavy bullets would go to the 7mm-08. Now, knowing the kind of guy you are, I can see both in your future.
