Folks,

I finally got the chance to take a good friend of mine out on his first hunt.
We had been talking about hunting and have gone shooting at the range since this summer.
We had not had a free day at the same time until last Saturday. He had no hunting gear so he borrowed one of my guns, and we headed out.
After about 2 hours a nice doe came in. We watched her for a while until he felt comfortable with the shot and he took her at 80 yards.
That was the deer story but the real story here is that he was so jacked up that he asked me that afternoon to help him pick out a gun, clothes, gear etc. he’s HOOKED.

I have to tell you this was more exciting to me than if I had actually taken a deer myself. I have been fortunate to have this happen twice in the past 2seasons where I was able to introduce a friend to the sport, they get a deer and they are now jumping into the sport.
BTW, This is only my second season

Being there when someone takes their first deer and seeing the excitement it brings to them is incredible.

"Tender little memories of some word or deed give us strength and courage when we are in need.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Today reflect upon a past kindness and the strength it afforded both the giver and the receiver."
