Is this like a Beetle Spin with out the blade ?

I've also caught them on Hal Flies , Shad Darts , Grass Shrimp , Rattle Traps , Mepps Comet , Tiny Diving Rebels , and Missouri Minnows.

Missouri Minnows will live much longer when hooked through the lips instead of the eyes or back.
