RE: sites and distance
I use one pin set at 20 yds. My aiming points are dead on at 5 yds and 20 yds. At 10 - 15 yds, I aim at the underbelly (heart) and the arrow goes to a low lung shot.
At 25yds, I put the pin at the top of the shoulder. My arrows are heavy so if I underestimate the range (and he's really 30 yds) - I miss cleanly.
The deer in my woods are movers. They are walking, turning left, eating, turning right .... the distance is constantly changing. My set up works well for me. If I were an antelope hunter, I may add a second or third pin for those 40 yd shots I hear about in the west.
