6:45 am on opening day of general firearms in Rockingham County Va. My son-in-law issues a bleat call with his 'can' from his tree stand. Almost immedatelya six point respondscomming in from behind and to the left. My son-in-law peeks around the tree, realizing he will have to shoot left handed from around the tree. The buck is close, he decides to take a spine shot. He sets, squeezes the trigger, and BOOM, his nosecomes 'up close and personal' with the scope as the rifle slipps off his shoulder. The buck dropped in his tracks and my son-in-law had to deal witha very bloody broken nose.
