I do not wear a safety harness because my stands are about 10 feet high, and are almost cages at the top. However, someone said that most ppl fall getting in or out of their stands.
vogt 51, you could still attach a tether rope (I'd tie the top around the limb on the left where it forks (branch is trimmed) and run it down along the left side of the ladder. You could then use the ascender system. When you are in the tree, I'd attach the body harness to the tree.
