Depending on your idea of long range...yes and no. The 130 .308 will do fine, but remember a bullet that weights the same but is bigger in diameter is going to be shorter and have a lower BC. The barnes are copper though, so the might actually have comparable BC. Idunno. What I mean to say is, within typical hunting ranges they should be comparable, BUT when you start talking LOOONGG range 500+ (perhaps sooner) the 270 will have an advantage.
