An update from Texas, I havent seen many mature deer so far this year mostly due to the heat (about 85 degrees this morning)and the fact that our rut wont start up until about december 15.The best buck Ive seen so far is an old mid 130's class 9 pointer who is definatly passed his prime, but due to some idiots in another camp on the ranch we have to video tape all of our cull bucks and show them to the ranch manager, so if i shot him thatd be my only buck for the season and with the rut coming up I decided to let him walk.Other than that im looking forward to the rut a cool front.
