Default RE: Re-Chambering a rifle ??

Ok guys, This is what I have as for info off of the rifle..

There are no serial numbers that I can find anywhere. I took the stock off and the scope mounts off to be sure.

under the front scope mount it says:

US Model 0?(drill hole for scope mount took out number)
1917
Remington

There are these strange looking half eagle head stamps all over the barrel and reciever that all have a different number under them. They say M1, M15, 3R and on the reciever it says 21, P

It also has these strange stamps on it that has 2 circles within each other and flames on top....????

This rifle does not have that huge stock like the 1903 models you are thinking of. It looks like a normal model 700 with a mauser type action. Is it worth anything? I am planning on making it my every day deer gun.. it is very solid.
