RE: Treestand Safety, When should you upgrade?
AM, I wouldn't worry at all about "modern", geez, haven't changed that much. I would however consider the big "S", safety you know. I know some of the manufacturers suggest replacing them after 5 years. If it's a climber and doesn't have any "cables", you might be able to replace the bolts (be sure to use aircraft grade) and extend the life a little. If it's a "lock on" with cable supports, I wouldn't chance it. Personally, it's not worth risking a fall, how devastating would that be....Fletch
