RE: climbing stands...
Hey Mauser, I dont know exactly about how much you want to spend, but save some money and gut it out this year with what you got right now. I totally recomend the Treelounge!!!!!! I think it is TOP NOTCH! The new ones are a lot lighter than the old ones. Some people say they sway when your up in the tree, but I have never experinced it. You just have to set it up right. I just got mine a couple of months ago and I have been practicing setting it up. I will be using it in a few weeks when I head up north in MN. You can also buy additional pads for the rails for not a bad price. Something that I do recommend is buying if you did go with a treelounge is the additional lever adapters for getting higher in the tree because as you get higher the width of the tree gets more narrow of corase, but you can get by just fine without it. You cannot beat the comfort though! No way. I think it was the best thing I ever got for hunting. Comfort is the main thing. If your not comfortable, you wont want to stay out there that long. It also has a lifetime garantee I believe, but I have to check on that. It likes sitting in a nice recliner in front of the TV. I love it. Hell I just love going to set it up in the woods every other day almost just to look at everything because I am getting the itch. Anyways Mauser, do what you have to but if you can save, or ask your family maybe to chip in for christmas or something, do it! The weight is not too bad with the bow hunter stand adapter either. Maybe 23-24 pounds. Anyways. I recomend the treelounge.
