cayugad,
Well, I tried your thing - we have a very short time left in rifle season so I put away the inline and dug out the old Renegade out. Got it loaded up last night so I could run out as soon as curriculummeetings were over today at noon. Got to my favorite deer spot got up the hill by 3:00. Really foggy but you could see about 75 yards or so- I felt pretty good about my chances... just cleared the fence look up the hill and a whitetail doe was scooting across the hillside - I waited a few minutes hoping that a buck might be trailing her - no luck... got up on top where I can look down into a saddle and a clear draw sat down and watched. It was a little more foggy up there but I still felt very good about the hunt. Sat there until dark - right at dark another doe crossed the draw below me but i decided to pass 1. - darkenss and 2. ML season starts Dec. 3-14 does only but I still get to hunt and that is really what counts...
We only get one deer here so I am being a bit picky...
Good luck!
Have a GREAT TURKEY day everyone
