On our site the speeds are very low and both trucks and rangers do spend time idling to keep them warm.The rangers do use less fuel under these conditions.I think the biggest issue is that both our trucks and rangers are running pretty much continually every day and this makes reliability and maintenance much more of an issue than for the person that only puts a few hundred hours on an atv each year.
