Default Gametrack Silvertip Performance Photos

As CG did with his recent experiences with the Rocky Mountain Snypers I am going to post about my recent experience with a relative "unknown" in the broadhead wars...the Gametracker Silvertip. These heads can be found just about everywhere but this particular pack was picked up at Walmart while the wife was buying diapers. Cutting diameter is around an inch and a half and the head, in this particular instance, weighs 100 grains though it is adjustable. Cost per 3 is usually around $15.

The pictures below were taken of a doe that I harvested this past Monday night. The shot was at approximately 25 yards and the deer managed to turn away from me a bit during the shot...hence the far back position of the wound. It collapsed on the spot and died within a minute. Penetration was minimal...approximately 5-6 inches and there was no exit wound. But, the damage was substantial.

The first pic is that of the wound itself....

Followed by what was left of the broadhead itself...in other words..."nothing". The head disintegrated upon impact. I could find absolutely nothing in the deer or in the surrounding area.

Finally, I thought some of you folks might appreciate a pic of my wife and son next to the deer. I was very proud to be able to show Logan his daddy's first harvest of the year.
