Default FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HUNT SCRAPE LINES

Could you pass me on some advice since me and my buddy aren't having much luck? Here's the situation...

The rut has not started here and probably won't for another week or two. So now is logically the pre-rut and the bucks are laying down scrapes but does aren't in heat yet. I have set my buddy up on a scrape line that runs parrallel 30 yards in the woods to a large pasture with cows in it. The obviously nice buck (due to good rubs) has about 5 scrapes and 5 rubs along an obvious trail. The problem is that my buddy has hunted up there about 2 mornings and five evenings and not seen a deer yet and is getting discouraged. We know the buck is still coming in there because he is keeping his scrapes fresh and has made a couple more rubs. The trail goes both ways into some pretty thick woods so it wouls be extremely hard to move the stand further up the trail either way. Obviously the buck is coming by his scrapes at night as most bucks do. Would you guys tough it out at this stand location since this full moon is passing and they may be more active during light now? Should we try some scent buck or doe since its pre-rut? Hang the scent or put it in his scrapes?? We want to take advantage of where hes frequenting now since likely when the does come in heat his pattern will change to fit where all the does are at. Help a brotha out! thanks
