I would say the 243 would be worth more, if both are in the same condition. Only reason I say that is their were approx. 200,000 model 70's chambered in 30-06 between 1936-1963. In comparison, their were only approx. 43,000 produced in 243. Sorry, but I can't give you a price without knowing exactly which model 70 it is, and what the condition is. Their were many different levels of grade, and each one has it's own price. Good luck though.


OK, I just looked, and with the standard rifle, the 243 was $300 more than the '06, both in excellent condition. So, the 243 does cost more.
