I had 2 sets of NightRider halogens. Ultra bright, super white, and tremoundous burn times. One was a dual beam, the othera single. I also have a Coleman lantern with two "wick things" that I've never used to track deer at night, so I'm not sure how that would work. But I loaned that to a neighbor the other day to take his kids camping, and he returned it "broke"...so I didn't have that option the other night either. I'm considering putting a truck battery in my backpack next time and getting a 10 mil candle power floodlight to use.

Someone suggested taking a black light intot the woods...said it shows the blood clearly...anyone ever tried THAT?
