Thanks guys. Yeah thats what I was thinking as well but a rough score shows he might be in fact a sleeper. I am waiting till my partner gets back he is working for an outfitter in the NE and took my measurement stuff with him...he should be back next week.
Early in, yes the past couple of years sask. residents have had a 2nd either - sex tag available for the forest zones only. It is a great opportunity and as well good for management as he deer herds are thriving in the forest or close to the forest areas. The rest of the province is 1 either-sex tag per year. Some zones you can also buy an anterless deer tag as well for whitetails.
Ag, his mass isn't huge by no stretch but average for a mature sask. whitetail. 5 and change at the base and carries itwell in H2/H3. H4 is around 4". I suspect he'll bring 38-40 in H measurements to the score card. Like I said I haven't offically taped him yet but his G2 & 3's are double digits (10-12" range) and he has good 4's as well around 7". Brows or G1's are weak at 4" range. Inside spread is 15" range and beams are pretty good 23" area. FYI I shot this deer approx. 1 hour east of Meadow Lake, north of where my cabin is located. I never saw a boot track in the area I was hunting and only a few trucks with orange in them driving the bush roads

!
Ag,the rut around home is just getting going. I would think you'll see some rutting action next week. Best of luck to you.
I am heading out Saturday to see if I can't notch my remaining either-tag.
