My buddy and I just use .22 with bird shot. Shots are usually close. Just aim for the head. You could put bird shot in your revolver if you want to, but there wouldn't be much of a snake left. Another friends thinks we're dumb for wasting ammo. He's hunted them alot and just uses a shovel or long stick. He's probably right, but it's more fun with the .22.
