I like the Grizzly. Longer ATA and a longer riser should be a bit more forgiving. However the Excursion has a bit less reflex and more brace height, with a shorter ATA. I bet that is your speed loss right there, the excursion has a bit less of a power stroke for the same draw.

I would actually be interested in the Grizzly. 38 inch ATA and it goes down to 25 inch draw. I may have found my next bow

Of course if your looking for a short ATA hunting bow, that ain't it.
