I've had sooooo many goofs over the years I can't count em all but the one that really sticks in my mind is I called in a gobbler,saw him commin from a ways off,MAN what a beard.Kept commin in and I kept watchin that beard.Got so caught up in watchin that rope swayin I forgot to shoot till he was about 15 yds away.Down he went.I shot right where I was lookin.The wad was buried in his chest and I blew that beard clean off.He weighed 22 lb with 1 1/2" hooks but ended up with a 2 1/2" stub.I did gather up strands of the beard layin around.They were over 9" long.I figured with the 2" stub 9" strands and what the wad cut off he had to of had close to a 12" beard.dumb,dumb,dumb!!!!!!!!!!
