I've always used a slate, but thought I would try a mouth diaphragm for fun. I bought a few of the Knight and Hale V ones, but can't make them work. Wither they feel like they cut mymouth, I gag and feel like I will hurl, or I just huff anf huff and get light headed. The only sound I get is nothing different than me takign the call out and just trying the same thing.

Is the round part supposed to be toward the throat and the flat part toward the teeth? Where is the latex supposed to be pressed against?

Sorry for such a stupid question, but I really can't make any sounds.
