I am sure he will get a shoulder mount. The cape has to be tanned and thats how racks look while they are waiting for the cape and form. Awesome animal.
Please excuse my newbie observation. I have a 140 on the wall but that was with my 270. I was never given the rack to hold onto while the other mounting processes were being done. HA, all this time I thought the entire deer head was real.

No they use foam forms to make most of the deer and just mount the skull cap.
