One simple fact of hunting is not all animals fold on the spot, no matter what you shoot them with. I will however suggest you quit trying to shoot deer in the head and take a boiler room shot. Try not to miss.
awww man, you are taking the fun out of it for me. When we go crop damage hunting in the summer, we take the 7's and set up on the edge of bean fields kinda "sniper style" with bipods and range finders and pluck them off as they are eating between the eyes. Of course all of the head shots are under 200 yards using guns that are reloaded and shoot under 1" and the bipod helps too. Its kinda fun to ride around the field after an evening of hunting collecting the deer that never took a step after being shot. Warning, shooting deer between the eyes with 140 Nosler BT's is not for the faint of heart......some weak stomached people might lose their cookies
