I know part of it is my blame but I made the right choice. I know that not going to her dads funeral during a muzzleloader special quota hunt didn't go over very well either. I figured he was already dead and I don't like the funeral thing. Hunt or go to a funeral? Dugh... I guess thats why I'm single. I eat, live and breathe the wilderness every day of my life and I don't want to assoiciate with any one who may deney me of that. Maybe I am selfish, but this is what I am as opposed to most who dreams it. I am not a yes sir man, as you can tell, but the way I look at it, your either with me or not. Adios Amigo.

Bobby, I've learned that funerals aren't for the deceased, but for the loved ones. You go to your wife's parents' funeral for the support of your wife, not for the dead person. A later post said there's more to the story, but from what you've said, that's pretty cold, going hunting rather than to the funeral. My guess is that you loved hunting more than your wife, so it's good your single. Not saying you're "bad" but just saying you're probably better off single if it means that much to you.

Me? I love to hunt and fish and do spend spousal good will points to do it, but it's not a marriage breaker either way - not for my wife, not for me. If it were, I'd choose the marriage. Compared to my wife, kids and home life, my other activities are insignificant. Starting to re-think it a little now that the kids are teenagers!
