I agree with the Springfield. For the money you WONT beat it!!! Is it a Kimber? Hell no, but it's 1/2 too as much as 1/4th the price. It does what it's supposed to do, shoot and not be finicky unless you put sorry ammo in it.

For a great OTC gun I agree, the Kimber is hard to beat. If you are going to spend over $700 for a 1911 you would be a fool NOT to at least look at them. If you want a truly tricked out and high dollar custom (over $2k) then look at some of the offerings from Wilson Combat. I have a few buds on our local TACT squad and they swear by the WCs, but also admit that there is a fine line between what the WCs do and what a Kimber costing half as much does!!!

But for under $500 you simply CANT beat the Springfield. I have sold many of them and too the man, each customer loves the gun more as time goes on. They are good solid purchase for the money,
