WhiteTail

I've been Duck Hunting with my new Stoeger 2000 4 times this season. I also hunted 3 times for Dove during the 15 day first half here in California.

I'm only 175 pounds and 5'8" tall.
The shotgun weighs in at 6 1/2 pounds.
Mine is Advantage Max4d camo - 26" barrel. I'm using the Improved Cylinder choke tube.
The recoil is not bad even with those "Black Shells". (3" Hevi-Shot)

I get three rounds off fairly quickly and I might say a darn sight faster than I could cycle my old pump gun.
Last Wednesday I fooled a pair of Redheads into my decoys. I jumped when they were 3 feet off the water with their landing gear down. They flaired and I missed my first shot on the drake. I shot again...miss. I took a third shot and SMOKED him with 3" Hevi-Shot 7 1/2's at 40 yards!

That said, I was able to recover and get three rounds off in no time.

This Stoeger swings fast and recovers quickly from a shot. The only odd thing I've noticed is that just like an M-16/AR-15, I hear the recoil spring "Twang" when it fires. I don't even notice it now that I've gotten used to it.

So farmy season.
3 hunt days for dove - 21 birds (7 BPD ave.)
4 hunt days for duck - 18 ducks, 1 goose (4.75 BPD ave.)

If you are asking if I like this Stoeger 2000 and if I would recommend it.

YES!!

For 400 bucks? HELL yes.

It's a "Benelli Light".

It's a Jack wackin', duck smokin' 'n stackin' machine.
