I would recomend a 24 inch barrel it is still short enough to swing in tight spaces, i would get aported barrel this reduces some kick, and make sure it has screw in choke capabilities that way you can test different chokes to see which one patterns the best maybe someone else can help out on this topic of powder burning the longer the barrel the more powder gets burnt is that correct?
