bigbuck, I read your other post about getting kicked off your uncle's land and where you're set up now... If I was you, I probably wouldn't use a decoy... especially the first time or two I sat that stand. From all that I've read -- and again, no first-hand experience yet -- decoys don't work that well back in the woods. They're far more effective on a field edge where cruising bucks can see them from way off and come over to investigate. Don't ask me why, but the articles said that a deke in the woods was prone to scaring them. Who knows?
If you're set up on a good transition area with a nice trail with some scrapes scattered nearby, I would just sit quietly and wait to ambush your buck as he comes along naturally.
