When the wind is out of the west, deer move best. When the wind is out of the east the deer move the least. Not totally false in my experiences(ie. usually much cooler with west winds).

Deer can see the white of your eyes... C'mon, you've got to be kidding me here.

Weather does not determine the rut, true, however weather plays a HUGE role in deer movement during the rut, especially in the southern states, where temps can range from 0-90 during the winter.
