Lastnight while sitting in my stand for 2 hours not seeing or hearing any rutting activity, it started. I heard movement behind and saw a body running north. About 10 minutes later I hear more movement behind be I turned and looke dand here was the biggest doe I have ever seen in my life. About 30 yards beside her was a nice little 5-6 pointer rolling his grunts, pretty aggressive. He had her cornered right where he wanted her. She knew I was in the stand over looking one of our cornfields. She made her way out of the woods and along the corn field within15 yards of me, the buck came around at an angle and stepped out and blocker her escape route. She decidedd she was hungry and started eating corn. About 15 minutes later with the buck with in bow range and quartering away from me she decided to go back into the woods, with the buck goign back in the ay he came, she went in the same way she came out. I had her set up for a perfect broadside shot when all of a sudden here coem the 5 biggest bucks i have ever seen on my property. One was a 14 pointer and bigger than a pop can at the base of the horns. I was looking for a shot but he wouldnt offer me a comfrotable shot.There should have been a hell of a battle with 5 mature monster bucks, 1 2 year oldbuck,and one doe. But all they did was chase her. I have never seen this kind of behavior before lastnight when 5 mature bucks are hanging together for one doe. It was like being in my own hunting movie in a high fenced area. The rut is on...YA BABY!!!
