Default RE: What the hell is wrong with people!!

A terrible tragedy from a senseless accident. From the article I can only wonder at the tactics that were being employed while hunting with a crossbow.
I see this as a tragey for us all.It seems that both father and son had not been taught the ways of bowhunting. The approach seems to me to be that employed while pushing a corn field during shot gun or rifle hunting seasons.
If that is the case, there are many at fault here. There are many things that were not done or not explained, or not followed. Such a shame. Such a waste.
But each of us can help prevent a similar tragedy in the future. Many of us work wit an archery shop. Most of us belong to a club. All of us love to bowhunt.
We can help those that do not have the experience or the expertise to learn the practices and skills of bowhunting. Most of all we can pass along the ethics of being a bowhunter that we have learned through the years.
Whether we want crossbows in the archery hunting season or not, they are sharing our season in many states now. Since they are there we must assist those that choose a crossbow as their weapon to become bowhunters.
My heart goes out to this father and his family.
Our prayers go out for this young man so tragically lost.
