If it's after dark and he drove out there with the car... he probably scared them off or diverted their attention. 7 bucks in a wad at this time of year.... that isn't right. They should be dispersed by now a little. The buck I shot this morning was a stinking fool. I really wouldn't worry about it. Don't over hunt it and keep on keeping on.
