Gotta admit, I've never tried it on deer. Loaded it in both a heavy barrel varmint, and a sporter weight barrel also. Both rifles were used exclusively for ground hogs and coyote hunting. Excellent accuracy in both. Probably have the loading data in my files if anyone would like it---
