Guys persistence paid off for me last Saturday. I have already missed two good deer this year(my first with stick and string). I hit limbs on both shots. Well, last saturday I was in my tree at about 7:30 wondering what I was doing in the freezing cold with 30-40 mph winds. My nose was running and my eyes were watering 20 minutes after daylight. I told myself give it 30 more minutes. I couldn't wait to get down. Well about that time I look down and see a 3 pt. coming in that I have seen and passed on several times. Behind him, I see a rack coming so I am excited. The 8 pointer walks straight in to 25 yards where I laid the smack down on him. I'll never forget the sound of that arrow thunping in his skin. Anyhow, the wind was blowing so hard, the 3pt never even heard me shoot, or even see/hear his buddy run off. The deer went straight down the ridge 100 yards and died. He never would have made it that far on flat ground. I missed this deer earlier thisseason when I snuck up on him and seven other deer on the ground, but I hit a limb! So I settled the score! I have seen twobucks much nicer than this one so I amreally excited about the upcoming rut. I just can'tdecide if I even want to pick up a gun though because I am enjoyingstick and string so much.Thanks for posting my pics!
