My rifle was dead on for that hunt at 300 yards, and we figured it was enough of a downhill incline it must have compensated for it. I had the crosshairs level on its backbone, swung about 8 feet in front of it, squeezed the trigger and followed thru, and that was it for that deer. Bullet was a 95gr Combined Technology Ballistic Tip, and it was a double lung heart shot with a tennis ball size exit hole.
My longest standing shot with the 243 was 475 yards on a coyote in Nebraska on the same trip with Sierra 70gr Blitz Kings.
