I shoot a T/C Omega and a Lyman GPR. I always cover their muzzles with a strip of electrical tape. No problem at all shooting right through the tape. No need to cover the primer on the Omega, but I sometimes put clear plastic wrap over the lock of the GPR in rainy weather.
