I agree -- it's sick and stupid and violates everything i was ever taught about hunting.

And here's another one for you. Here in idaho, a 17 year old was shot dead with a rifle at 8 - 8:30 at night, while on private land, while practicing bugling. He too was sound-shot thru a bush. As an added complication, he was shot by a NezPerce native (who has the "right" to carry a gun during bow season and shoot anything at any time and, from the looks of things, at any place). And to top it all off, the maximum sentence for any crime on the reservation is a total of one year in prison. Since this crime crossed jurisdictions, he may get a different sentence -- but we're not too hopeful; no laws were broken. We are hopeful, tho, that some changes result in the way things are done out here from such a sickening tragedy.
