RE: whats the best kind of rifle
It all depends.... For me, I prefer the timeless classic, 30-30 lever action, for hunting in the thick stuff.
For longer ranges and open fields, I am looking at the Ruger M77 MKII in a .270 and also a Winchester Model 70, also in a .270.
