I had 11 deer within 50 yards of my stand Opening day in the afternoon and some guy walks in late and spooked em all. 3 of them were right below my stand. All were doe and fawns, but it was only 5:15. A bachelor group might have come in behind them, but no such is life on public land. Remember it is very early boys! We are in the "October lull" Nice that our bow season opens right in the lull isnt it? Scouting, scouting, and then more scouting. Don't mess up an area, just understand it. Yesterday afternoon I got off work early and went to scout. I found exactly what I have been looking for. A buck core area! I am at Lake Erie all this weekend with my uncle's charter trips. So, I have to wait until next week to hunt that buck. Good luck boys!
