I can't believe I am responding but Mr. Longbeard just really chaps my a$$ everytime I see his post. My scouting consists of spending every morning in the woods before season listening. I live in the mountains where there are no 100 acre green fields and where all a turkey has to do is pitch off the roost onto the next ridge or across a road and hes on another piece of property. I didnt realize I was giving away my tactics in my posts. Its pretty sad MLB that a 10 year old could get on here and post his first bird he ever took calling for himself and you'd be the first one too say..."Great job...now kill on on public ground and you'll really be a turkey hunter!" I am a fulltime student in college. I schedule my classes around turkey season.No morning classes. I am majoring in adveritisng in hopes of getting a job in the outdoor industry. I do competiton calling all over the state and in some other states.We have a week long season in January thats either sex. I haven't been in he 3 years its been open because they dont't gobble and strut then. I live to turkey hunt in the spring. I have never huntedon public ground before and therefore I am not a real turkey hunter?? Your opinion is meaningless to me as well as everyone else around here now. Your crediblity is shot on this board and I would love to see you never come back...Every post you make is drawing a linein the sand for your fellow hunters. Your beards are longer, and spurs sharper than all of ours. We admit you'resuperior to all of us in the turkey woods, public or private...now go away.
