Draw style question
Since I got started in traditional archery, I've always used a Fred Asbell style of raising the bow as I draw. For the last 9 months or so I've been trying a style of raising the bow first, sighting my target, and then beginning my draw.
The latter style has just been killing my accuracy. It's almost like I have to think too much before I release. I disagree with a lot of Mr. Asbell's techniques, but raising the bow as I draw has in the past as well as the present worked great. It really helps me burn a hole in the target andhit my anchorbefore I release.
What style is everybody else using and please give your opinions.
Thanks,
Dave
