I have a CVA double 12 ga. I use mainly for turkey now. just experiment with loads till you get it the way you want.
my wife used it for deer and hogs before I got her a rifle.
I loaded 90 grains fff,thick wad,21 #4 buck,thin wad then thick wad.good for about 35 yards. I did the same set up for turkey except I use # 6 shot for birds.

they are fun to play with,just try all different powder and shot loads.
