Fine with me. I'm 2 for 2 on straight on shots becase I'm confident I can make them. As long he is confident in his shot theres nothing wrong with taking that shot. 2 for 2 is 100% in the math book I use......pretty good odds if you ask me.

ps iowabob - i've killed ALOT of deer with a bow, and so far i've only lost one deer. hit a little five pointer too far back and high my second year. i believe it passed through without hitting any organs so im sure he lived. my bow has more kinetic energy than your muzzleloader so i dont want to hear it. the day you see me looking for wounded deer and not finding them then you can log onto this board and brag to everybody. until then, you hunt your way, ill hunt mine. but i ALWAYS come out with my deer.
