Default RE: Muzzleloaders Scopes

Start with the base and rings.

I have this setup on my Omegaand many other riflesand it's excellent and the best base and rings I've ever used. You can remove the scope for cleaning or working on the Omega and then put it right back on and have it remain on zero.

Leupold Quick Release (QR) Base and Rings.

Go with the medium or high QR rings. The low rings will leave very little room to access the hammer. You may want the QR Extension rings to allow for a little more scope positioning. Will depend on which scope you select. I did not need the extension rings on my Omega with the scope I went with.

Optics-wise, get the best you can afford and you will not be dissapointed.

Leupold Optics areexcellent and I have many.

I've got the VXIII 2.5x8x36 on my Omega with the High QR rings. It's an exceptional scope.
