RE: Monster Buck...How do I get him??
There should be a rub line or a couple rublines in the woods where he is bedding. You can tell which direction he is traveling by looking at these rubs. He is coming from the bald/rubbed side of the tree. Probably coming from the corn in the morning. Get in there early, close to the rub lines, maybe a scrape or two along the rub lines. Rub lines are mostly present just inside the woods 30yds or so, or where there is some sort of transition likeOak to Pine or a strip of smaller trees inside the woods. Set up here with the wind coming from the corn in the morning. If you can make a all day hunt out of it, bring water, food, and a pee bottle. The longer you spend on this stand the better your chances of catching him traveling. If you sit all day the wind in the afternoon wont matter because your ground scent will have dissipated to almost nothing. Hunt high, 18-25ft, this will keep your scents up and out of the woods. If you can't sit all day stay at least till 10am. Big bucks start making good rubs and checking scrape nowand they take a little more time coming to bed. If you return for an afternoon hunt start early and make sure the wind is blowing to the corn. He may get up early and be browsing on acorns. Hope this helps.
