Default RE: Big Minnesota 8 point

He looks about 18"-19" inside. His left side (right from our angle) is a lil weak, that would hurt the net (screw net IMHO! ). I have 2 P&Y 8s on the wall and one is wider, heavier, taller and longer and he grossed 131 and change and netted 127 and change. My other has about the same tine length as your buck, is muchheavier but narrower and he grossed 131 and change and netted 125 and change.

I would put the gross on this one in the upper 120s with a net in the low 120s. Still a FINE 8ptr and no less a trophy in most locales. 8s just aren't appreciated by the books and they suffer heavily on paper. An upper 130s-140 8 is a GIANT and would make most say, "OH GOD"!!! 8s just don't score for crap.

Good luck,
RA

ps
So imagine how I have been kickin myself for the last 2 years for NOT shooting a high 120s 6pt (yes 6!) that I had at 15 yrds in MO a couple of years ago during gun season. Thats high120"s with only 3 mass measurements as well... [:-]The beast had ft long browtines and equal G2s and "handful mass" all the way up. WTF was I thinkin? Like I've EVER seen a 6 that big in 20 years or ever will again!!! My brother had let the beast walk on opening morning, then another buddy let it walk the next morning (filmed by both) so I felt obliged to let it go as well. FOR WHAT??? [:@][:'(]A more unique trophy I've not seen in my life.
