RE: Help Prepare For Long hunt???
Very good question. I think I have 11 stands spread in the woods that I have accumulated over the years. Some of them are heavey as boat anchors packing in the bush. I have a couple light ones that I don't even realize I'm carring. There are some of my stands also that is so uncomfortable that I'm ready to come down after an hour because its seats not comfy and makes sitting for any length of time difficult. I have a couple other stands that I can actually snooze in and stay in from sunrise to sunset if I wanted cause its so comfortable. Cheap is not always better and when your butt gets sore its hard to keep from moving around and spooking game. Get yourself a better stand is what I suggest, I don't know what the name of mine are or I would give you some recommendations, but they are climbers and you face the tree as your climbing and then you have the option to turn the seat where your back isagainst thetree and your about a foot below the handrails making it safe to doze when those nods start to hit. I think the suspended tree stand seats hung on by straps such as one of my stands made by Rivers Edge sucks and the person who made them never has hunted out of them. There are a lot of things to consider in selecting a stand, cost, weight, but the most important is being comfortable and quiet. Good Luck, Bobby
