I like the method of Stop, Look and Listen when I am hunting squirrels.It works for me, after you do that then you stealth walk some more and do the same thing. If you got good ears like I do, you can hear the claws of squirrels on the tree. I could sit here and write all night on this one topic, but my best advice is to be silent when walking, walk slow, and always be looking and listening. But sometimes now only sometimes, when you step on a hidden twig or someting and it cracks, you may get a squirrel to jump out and run. But anyway my method works for me. I also do a few float trips in the bayous around here, and get them on trees that boarder the bayous.
