Whats your thoughts on the Steiner merlin 8 X 42 bino's ? looking for a pair of bino's for around 500.00 . for bowhunting in Penna. woods and field edges. And hopefully a muley or an elk hunt in a western state someday. I spend alot of time afield each year. For various game ie. squirrels , pheasent , turkey , and deer but I can't see spending 1,000 or 1,500 or more on bino's I'm almost 40 years old, and made do with a cheep pair up to this point . Any thoughts ?
